How many guests can attend my elopement?
The number of guests are capped at eight (not including the couple) to keep in line with elopement standards and not small weddings.
Do I need a permit to have my wedding at the set locations?
With the limited number of guests, a permit is not required.
What happens if I have more than the set amount of guests?
If additional guests are present, there is a of $100 charge (per person outside of the set limit of your package- capping at a maximum of 8). No more than 8 guests are permitted to attend, and this includes any person of any age who are present, regardless of photo participation. Disclaimer: If all guest fees are not paid as stated in your signed contract, the elopement photos will not be released.
Can I have my dog or dogs at my wedding?
Yes, but do keep in mind that all locations are in public areas. Leashing laws do apply.
Do you hold ceremonies for same-sex couples?
Yes, we are supportive of everyone and we are happy to marry all who comes to us!
What happens if I am late to my ceremony?
Depending on whether there are any scheduled appointments after your selected time on your wedding day, we may not be able to perform your ceremony. So in the event that you are delayed (20 minutes or less), please reach out to us as soon as possible (before the appointed time) and we will make every effort to perform your ceremony on the same day. If you are unable to do so, we can opt to reschedule to another day or consult on what the next steps should be.
What happens if it rains?
In Georgia, pop-up showers are regular and typically do not last long, so we can opt to hold the ceremony earlier in the day, or later in the evening, or risk it to possibly wait it out. In the event of heavy rain, we do have one option and that is to move the ceremony to another location. If you should opt to not move locations, we can reschedule to the next available clear day. Try not to panic, rest assured that we are watching the weather and will advise you what we think would be best to do.
How do I obtain a marriage license?
The marriage license must be obtained from a county in Georgia. If you are from out of state, you must go to the Richmond or Columbia County Courthouse (depending on selected location) to obtain a license. If you reside from another county in Georgia, you can obtain a marriage license there to bring with you.
Can we personalize our ceremony and vows?
You may certainly write your own vows and the ceremony may have your personalized touch added if you wish. If you wish to add a sand portion to your ceremony, or a knot tying element, you are permitted to do so.
What time of the day is best for a ceremony?
Anytime is available, however, we do encourage later in the afternoon and mid-morning times. In Georgia, the weather is usually more cooperative and the lighting is best for photos at those times.
What is best to wear?
Formal or casual, whatever you wish to wear is encouraged!
How long does it take to get my photos?
Depending on the number of bookings, it can take up to two weeks. We do strive to have a faster turn around for you, understanding the anticipation of viewing all from your momentous day!
Can I have a last minute wedding?
Absolutely, if at all possible. Contact us to check availability!
